dinner ala janice

this is supposed to be yesterday's post....but i forgot to blog.

hey i was attempting to do maths paper 1 ok. but my brain wasn't functioning. i even forgot how to find the gradient of a line.

@$#%!^&*!!!

and obviously after that i didn't have mood to study for chem test anymore. brain wasn't working anyway.

so i decided that i shall cook dinner that night!!! *joanny DO NOT faint.*

after school we went carrefour to buy ingredients for SPAGHETTI.

its so fun to grocery shop! we bought the sauce and all and sausages too.

then back to nick's place where i donned my chef hat and showed off my awesome cooking skills!

nick and mr lucky accompanied me in the kitchen. nick was being nick and going all "JAN THAT'S BARELY A QUARTER SPOONFUL OF SALT!! bla bla bla bla."

HEY, i'm sorry ok. you know i'm health conscious.

remember everytime when fook ann cooks he has to go "Jan, don't freak out." or "Close your eyes. i'm pouring oil now." or "Ok she's not looking. QUICK pour the oil!"

halfway, i dropped a few pieces of spaghetti so nick bent down to pick it up.

next thing i heard: "OOOH. look!! we have an oven." =___=""""""

fyi he has been living there since dec last year and only noticed the oven 7 months later.

then lucky went "we have another one here." that, i admit, i didn't know. lol.

i didn't know spaghetti could burn btw.

no further details shall be given, but after cooking the spaghetti, i boiled the sauce.

we had onion and garlic bolognaise sauce and carbonara sauce. cos i like mine white. they like theirs red.

i didn't know sauce could burn either.

had no problem boiling their sauce but when it came to my carbonara sauce, i have no idea why it emmited so much smoke and poisonous gas. was choking and gasping like a fish out of water.

conclusion: my lifespan decreases by about 20% everytime i attempt cooking.

but it turned out alright in the end. before we started eating, i did warn everyone: if anything happens to you tonight, you know where the nearest hospital is.

everyone said the spaghetti was nice anyway. it was so awesomely good that they were all speechless. literally.

and it is so fun to cook in mass bundles! we used the whole packet of spaghetti and the whole HUGE jar of sauce. back home, that much sauce and spaghetti can last us for a few meals. and that was 5 of us. this is 4. amazing.

cooking is so much fun! am thinking of cooking again tonight. maybe macaroni cos we bought it a few months ago but never had the time to cook. it's organic macaroni. lols.

it's healthy ok. shut up. was arguing with nick for about half an hour in cold storage while deciding which macaroni we should get.

or maybe pizza. buy the pizza crust, throw everything on top and pop it into the newly-discovered oven.

now that i've conquered spaghetti, i shall attempt other dishes. like steak. and seafood.(ac has lots of crabs to spare). and sushi. and shepard's pie. and

am thinking of experimenting with different things but exams are next week and last thing we need would be 4 taylorians paralysed at SJMC.
