FINALLY. i got the library job :D

After 3 months of asking. =_=" injustice!!

i've been asking since february and the librarian-in-charge keeps telling me to come back end of the month. everybody else gets the job on the spot. but i wasn't gona give up yet! so every end of the month i went back to her. which probably annoyed her so much she finally let me have the job. **HUGE GRIN**

see. PERSISTENCE. works every time. MOST of the time.

If she wasn't gonna let me get the job, i would have smacked her. fine, i wouldn't. but i would have been PISSSSED!!! for a few minutes.

anyways, we've got a fancy name. we're called 'student helpers.' :D which sounds much more cooler than librarians.

after filling in some form and after being briefed by the old indian lady (she is so cute! in an old lady-ish way) she sent me off to sort the fiction section. my favourite part of the library!

best part is..i found the FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN book! written by author of 'Tuesdays with Morrie'. which i haven't read either but overall comments is that that book will make you cry waterfalls.

except *some* people who lacks certain emotions or thinks that they're very macho and find the book boring. tsk tsk. you need to seek help, NOW.

arranged the books for an hour. actually finished arranging them 15 minutes before time (thank you, helper number 2!) but since the lady didn't have anything else for me to do, i had to make sure all the books are damn straight and aligned.

it's so much fun! am so looking forward to after school tomorrow. yay! but class ends at 4 tomorrow. and i'll be pooped by then. tuesdays are just so draining. last two lessons chem lab summore. eeks.

so will be going back at 5. so late! but at least friday school ends at 2. so can work for about 2 hours. saturdays too! :)

hey, i have a life ok. at least i think i do.

advantages of being a 'student helper'

1) fill up my time after school

2) keep me occupied

3) discover new books!

4) exercise! (cos you gotta squat down and up and down and up and down to arrange the books)

5) reuse my abc's and 123's.

6) earn a little bit of pocket money. and it shall stay there. in my pocket, that is.
